Hurry, IT bus won’t stop here for long -Pune Newsline Headlines : 23rd March 2006
The biggest challenge is public transport, of course. ‘‘There’s thousands of people at all the IT parks in Pune and there’s no reliable public transport system,’’ rues Madbhavi. ‘‘We need to know how much the government will spend to improve the quality of life,’’ points out Pandit. He wants to know how much the city will get from the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission funds. But that’s another story.
The wishlist
* More special economic zones
* Wider roads, 4-6 lane highways
* Islanding of Pune to ease power crisis
* Reliable public transport system
* Cluster strategy for innovation

Wait for 500 more years then there will buses for Hinjewadi from all parts of Pune city.
Wait for 1000 more years then we will see metro in Pune.
Wait for 1500 more years then our politicians earn enough for themselves and start thinking of common people of country. Till then you just pay tax in 10 different ways and for 10 different reasons to government.
